Kahuna teaches surf
lessons at Beacon's Beach.
Each summer you will see
hundreds of wannabee surfers discovering their love of
surfing in the shallow waters of the Beacon's
Beach.
For hours on end, you can
here the encouraging shouts echoing up the bluff ("UP!
UP! UP! You can do it!") from Kahuna and his
crew helping even the most uncoordinated of people
achieve a few gleeful moments of land-free liberation.
As tired as they are
after the surfing lessons, all his students have that
'surf glow' as they trudge up the long path at Beacon's.
Some of the graduates, conceived here, even return to
spawn at Beacon's over and over.
