Palapa Angels Strike
Practicing random acts of kindness, and using the cover of 6" to 12"
waves coupled an early morning surprise attack, the Palapa
Angels created a new palapa on the beach. Within the span
of 30 minutes, concrete was poured, palm leaves for the
roof were put into place and the 4x4 beams were raised.

Kenzie: Our
new palapa is an open-sided dwelling with a thatched roof made of dried palm
leaves. It is the perfect place to sit after a long day's
surf. The sand there is at least 2 degrees cooler under
there. Perfect place to cool your sore and scorched
feet!!!
Sixty minutes
later, after the Palapa Angels left, the structure was
already in use, shielding locals from the hot rays of the
sun. Unfortunately, the next day, the city of
Encinitas took down the palapa.
