Ever wonder how Beacon's got it's name? Learn about this secret.
Beacon's Beach is located in North
San Diego County, north of Del Mar, Solana Beach and Cardiff, south of Oceanside
and Carlsbad, in Encinitas - or Leucadia as known to the locals
far and near. It isn't an overly territorial place so you won't need burial insurance. But if you are planning on going to the beach, when the rocks are exposed, make sure you have a decent pair of surf shoes to make your trip more comfortable and enjoyable.
Because Beacon's is hard to find,
and the winding path is a deterrent to many (especially those with kids) most of
the beachgoers are native to the immediate area. You can see everything here - from surfer shorts to a revealing bikini to swimwear.

Be sure to visit the
San Dieguito Academy high school girls
volleyball team site.
Be warned that it is quite a hike
to go up the Beacon's bluff. Also, there is no camping on the beach.
